Show and hide subprocesses/subdiagrams

You can create BPMN diagrams for both processes and subprocesses. This allows you to nest BPMN diagrams as deeply as you like.

Whether a subprocess has its own BPMN diagram can be seen in a BPMN diagram by the icon in the shape of the process:

Show subprocess:

In the WebModeller:

To show the subdiagram of the subprocess in the WebModeller:

  • In the shape of the subprocess, click the

  • select the shape of the subprocess in the diagram and click Open chart in the context-sensitive menu:

  • In WebModeller, click Open subdiagrams in the menu bar:

In the Portal:

To show the subdiagram of the subprocess in the Portal:

  • In the shape of the subprocess, click the

  • select the shape of the subprocess in the diagram and click Open chart in the context-sensitive menu:

  • Click Open subdiagrams in the Diagram menu at :

Hide subprocess:

In the WebModeller:

To close a subdiagram of a subprocess in WebModeller:

  • In the diagram, select the shape of the subprocess and click Close chart in the context-sensitive menu:

  • In WebModeller, click Close subdiagrams in the menu bar:

In the Portal:

To close a subdiagram of a subprocess in the Portal:

  • In the diagram, select the shape of the subprocess and click Close chart in the context-sensitive menu:
